Our Programs
Through our innovative, year-round After-School and Summer Programs, A-SOL fosters a faith-based environment that encourages self-discovery and confidence-building among underserved youth. We harness the power of project-based learning in entrepreneurship and finance, not only educating but also empowering our students to envision and create a future filled with success and opportunities.
After-School Program
A-SOL’s primary program will be an after-school program that serves grades 5–12 every Monday through Friday during the school year. Students will be divided into teams based on their grade level.
Over a school year, students will complete four 9-week projects. Projects will be designed around partnerships with local businesses and entrepreneurs in the community. Each project will be designed around one core business skill and one core project management skill. Projects will begin with a training period and then enter a hands-on phase where the students will work on various deliverables and tasks. The program will train students to take creative risks, receive feedback on their work, and make improvements to embody the core value of “Fail Forward.”
Summer Program
A-SOL's summer program launched on July 10, 2023. The summer program lasted four weeks from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. The curriculum is similar to the after-school program with a condensed schedule to accommodate the shorter timeline. The students spent the first two weeks learning about marketing and entrepreneurship and the final two weeks working on a social media marketing project for a local business. Future summer camp programs will explore a variety of business topics, including budgets, risk management, strategic planning, etc.

Students who are a part of A-SOL during the school year are not required to participate in the summer program. The summer program will be open to additional students, including those involved in other after-school activities during the school year.
