Q&A with Gregg Cheshier

Writer's picture: Austin BowyerAustin Bowyer

Today we'd like to introduce you to Gregg Cheshier, a member of the A-SOL Board of Directors and the organization's Treasurer. Gregg is a retired PWC Partner and chairs the A-SOL Finance Committee.

How did you first get involved with A-SOL?

I came to know A-SOL through a "friend of a friend." I was introduced to our President, Austin Bowyer, and was immediately impressed with his passion and conviction for the mission of A-SOL. It was an easy but humbling decision to join the Board.

Do you have any previous nonprofit experience?

I have served on several nonprofit boards in the past, but I have not been affiliated with an organization at this early stage. I am excited to watch the organization grow from "paper" into action in serving the youth of South Dallas.

What excites you most about A-SOL?

Many of us see the larger problems in our society but are often doubtful about the means to make meaningful generational changes. A-SOL's mission is to do just that; to give the community's youth the business skills to make great life choices that will benefit their families both currently and in the future.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I am an avid fitness enthusiast and am always on the lookout for ways to make my routine more uncomfortable (strange, but true) - cold plunges, long periods of fasting, HIIT, etc.

What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment in your life so far?

I try to live out my faith every day and in every interaction. The greatest accomplishment I could ever have is pointing others to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

Be on the lookout for Gregg at future A-SOL events!
