A-SOL is thrilled to congratulate Forerunner Mentoring on winning the Passion Award from Dallas-Afterschool. At the recent Reimagining OST Conference, A-SOL Co-Founder Austin Bowyer had the pleasure of meeting Darius Person, 7-12 Program Coordinator, and Quinn Holman, K-6 Program Coordinator, both of whom are part of the Forerunner Mentoring team. They are doing incredible work to raise future leaders among Dallas Youth. During the conference, A-SOL had the opportunity to partner with Forerunner in several exercises aimed at sharing ideas on how to better serve our community's youth. We left the conference feeling inspired and equipped to continue our work. It was a powerful reminder that we're all "Better Together" when we collaborate to share lessons learned, brainstorm new ideas, and encourage one another. Forerunner Mentoring was founded in 2011 with a mission to “fulfill the potential of every young man in Lake Highlands growing up without a father figure at home by providing mentoring, programs, and family support in the name of Jesus.” It's truly inspiring to see the impact they're making in the community, and we're honored to have had the opportunity to connect with them at the conference. Congratulations again to Forerunner Mentoring on their well-deserved award. We're excited to continue working alongside them and other organizations in our community to support and empower the next generation of leaders.
